Scuba Diving holidays

DIVE N.I organise scuba diving trips throughout the year. Destinations may vary from year to year. Although a popular attraction for divers is the Red Sea, and many divers enjoy it that much they opt to go back the following year.

Alternatively for the more adventurous, the opportunity to shark dive, wreck dive and ice dive will be available from year to year pending on the interest.

DIVE TRIP TO SCOTLAND 2005 : 21ST-24TH APRIL

DIVE N.I has organised a 4-day dive trip to Puffin Dive Centre in Oban. Puffin Dive Centre is a 5 Star Dive Resort situated on 3-acre waterside site, with onsite accommodation, retail shop, hire equipment, changing rooms and private jetty boasting 2 x 11mtr Redbay Stormforce Ribs.

Trip cost includes:

RIB DIVING

Rib diving from Puffin Dive Centre makes your diving holiday relaxing, effortless and more than anything safer. Some of the best and most varied diving in the country can be enjoyed with huge intact wrecks, spectacular wall dives, drifts, reefs, deep and shallow dives with plenty for all levels and types of diver.

Puffin Boats

Due to the popularity and success of Puffin Rib Diving, we have increased the fleet to include 2 new 11m Redbay Stormforce ribs powered by twin 240hp Diesel inboard engines with the added benefit of full instrument specification and radar for longer trips. Both the 11m boats and the existing 6.5m Sea Harrier and the 7.5m Osprey XR24 are fully insured and certified to the latest Department Of Transport and Maritime & Coastguard Agency standards. All carrying Life rafts, Flares, First Aid Kits, VHF Radio and G.P.S. The added safety of twin engines on all boats means that in the unlikely event of an engine failure, all the boats have sufficient capacity to continue unhindered, without the need of outside assistance.

Centre Accommodation Information

The success of your stay is extremely important to us and we will do everything within reason to accommodate your requirements.

Arrivals & Departures

On day of arrival check in time starts from 1600 hrs unless specific and special arrangements have been made PRIOR to arrival. Your co-operation is appreciated on check in allowing us time to service and prepare the chalet for your arrival.

When your stay is over ensure that all your property has been removed and that all items are replaced to their respective rooms. The keys MUST be handed into the front desk staff at the dive centre and the property must be secured upon departure.

Guests are advised that vacation of the premises must be at the very latest by 0930 as new arrivals for that day will expect the premises to be fully serviced etc. If there is anything we can help you with please speak to any member of staff and we hope your stay is an enjoyable one.

We appreciate comments from guests regarding any contributions to the improvement within, of course, the budget for this type of accommodation and these will be welcomed during or after your stay.

PUFFIN DIVE CENTRE

Puffin Dive Centre is ideally situated - on the waters edge at Port Gallanach, 1-½ miles south of Oban on the Kerrera Sound coast road.

As Scotland's Premier Dive Centre, Puffin incorporates all its facilities on a 3-acre waterside site. The recently completed purpose built centre contains the training, retail and service side of Puffin's unique operation with further facilities positioned strategically around the site for ease of use.

Access to the centre is as easy by sea as it is by land. Travelling and navigating to the many dive sites locally is quick and easy - the centre is centrally placed with dive sites as close as five minutes away. Both site and centre are second to none; all the facilities are top class making it plain to see from one short visit why Puffin's reputation is legendary.

To compliment the centre Puffin has a full team of dedicated support staff including three resident PADI Course Directors. Each staff member has successfully certified 100's of students and is well experienced in handling your needs. Staff are on hand all day to help with advice, local information or any other requirements you may have. Not only do the Puffin staff teach the standard recreational and technical courses but are also well qualified in specialised areas such as ice, wreck, deep and altitude. The centre holds the prestigious PADI Career Development Centre & Gold Palm Five Star Instructor Development Centre ratings and teaches the full range of PADI diver training courses from beginner to Instructor.

The boats operate to full MCA standards and are registered and licensed as small commercial vessels, having a 60 mile operating radius including night operation. Coxing the boat is a Puffin staff member who is a certified and experienced RYA Coastal Skipper. In addition, the cox will also hold the minimum qualifications of PADI Instructor, First Aider, Oxygen Provider and GMDSS/VHF operator. The cox is familiar with all the sites visited ensuring that your pre-dive briefing includes everything you need.
